The New Age Jazzy earbuds are among New Age’s top earbuds that come with Active Noise Cancellation (ANC). These buds have a sleek design and promise to be a great option for those on a budget. As you may be aware, ANC earbuds tend to be quite expensive, but these come at a wallet-friendly price. The earbuds also boast other impressive features, including a decent battery life and good sound quality.
Although these earbuds have been around for a while, I’m writing this review now after using them for an extended period. It’s important to note that while the earbuds aren’t perfect, can we find perfect earbuds anywhere? I’ll be sharing all that I’ve discovered about this product, and by the end of this post, you can decide whether or not to consider getting these earbuds.
So, without further ado, let’s dive in and explore!

Design and Comfort
The first impression often sets the tone for the entire experience, and the New Age Jazzy case certainly does not disappoint in this aspect. Crafted with an eye for aesthetics, the charging case showcases a harmonious blend of modern elegance and classic charm. It comes in black with a matte finish, giving it a plastic-like texture in the hands and making it super lightweight.
On the front, you’ll find the New Age brand name written in white. Just below the brand name is an indicator that displays the battery percentage and activates when you plug in the charger. Beneath the case, there’s the charging port. The case shares the same size as the Oraimo Freepods 3, allowing it to easily slide into your pocket or bag without any hassle.
The earbuds have a stem-style design with a premium look. Unlike other buds on the market, these have a short stem. Additionally, various ear tips are included to enhance comfort, giving you the freedom to choose the tips that fit best in your ears. The top of the buds features a glossy finish, while the bottom has a matte finish, creating a pleasing contrast.
On the stem of the earbuds, just above it, you’ll find the New Age brand name. Adjacent to it is the microphone hole. Underneath the buds, there’s another well-positioned microphone hole along with the magnetic charging pins. At the top of the stem, an LED light flashes when the earbuds are in pairing mode, and this light disappears once the connection is established. Overall, the New Age Jazzy earbuds boast an impressive design.
These buds are incredibly comfortable to wear for extended periods. You won’t experience any fatigue or discomfort when wearing them for a long time. They fit snugly into the ear canals, making them perfect for workouts, jogging, running, and more. While New Age hasn’t provided information about waterproof certification, it’s advisable to handle them with care.

Sound Quality
What truly sets the New Age Jazzy Earbuds apart is their impeccable sound quality. The audio engineers behind these earbuds have struck a harmonious balance between innovation and musicality. With advanced drivers that deliver crisp highs, rich mids, and deep lows, the earbuds bring out the subtleties of each instrument and vocal nuance. The bass isn’t as punchy because New Age places more emphasis on the mids and highs. So, if you love punchy bass, you might not fancy this piece as much. However, you can tweak this using an EQ app. You can find one on the Google Play Store or Apple Store. If your phone has a built-in EQ, you can adjust the sound there.
Connectivity
In the realm of wireless earbuds, seamless connectivity is paramount, and the New Age Jazzy Earbuds rise to the occasion. Equipped with Bluetooth 5.2, these earbuds establish a stable and reliable connection with your devices, ensuring minimal audio dropouts. The buds come equipped with AAC and SBC connection codecs, making them compatible with Android and iOS devices.
They feature an impressive 10m transmission range. Continuing with the connectivity features, they also come with voice prompts that notify you whether they are connected, disconnected, or out of range.
Moreover, these earbuds support dual connectivity. What does that mean? It means you can use one of the earbuds at a time, and when it runs out of battery, you can place it back in the charging case and switch to the other earbuds. This allows you to utilize the earbuds throughout the entire day. It’s important to note that not all earbuds support dual connection, making the New Age Jazzy a remarkable choice for anyone seeking earbuds that can last the entire day.
In terms of low latency, the Jazzy earbuds are excellent for video streaming; you won’t experience latency when using them for online streaming. However, for high-graphics games, you might encounter audio delays. This is because the New Age Jazzy earbuds aren’t specifically designed for gaming. Nevertheless, if you primarily play casual games, you won’t encounter any issues using them.

Battery Life
The battery life of the New Age Jazzy Earbuds is commendable. The buds come with a battery capacity of 40mAh, and the case houses a 300mAh capacity. New Age claims that the buds can last for 6 hours of uninterrupted playtime, and the case provides an additional 18 hours of backup.
During our testing, we were able to achieve an impressive 6 hours of playback at 80% volume. If you typically listen to music at a lower volume, you could potentially get around 7 hours of usage.
Another noteworthy feature of the Jazzy Buds is their 20-minute quick charge capability, which delivers an impressive 2 hours of playtime. In our tests, we managed to get an hour and 45 minutes of playtime from the 20-minute quick charge, which is still quite impressive.

Call Quality And ANC Performance
The active noise cancellation on the Jazzy buds isn’t particularly strong, which is why I didn’t discuss them in the battery section. When compared to the Oraimo Freepod Pro, the noise cancellation on the Jazzy buds is noticeably weaker. I’d estimate it to be around 50%, whereas the Freepods Pro boasts around 80% effectiveness.
It’s still decent considering the price; however, if you’re seeking earbuds with superior ANC, you’d have to invest more money to acquire those.
Moving on to the call quality test, it’s quite decent. Indoors, the call quality is superb, and the person on the other end of the call can hear you crystal clear. Outdoor calls, on the other hand, aren’t as great. Although the ANC attempts to minimize surrounding noise, it’s not as effective as the Freepods Pro — and I’ll explain the reason for that shortly.
These buds perform well for various video and audio calls. Indoors, you won’t encounter many issues, but in outdoor or noisy environments, you might not achieve the perfect call quality you desire.

Touch Controls
The touch controls on the earbuds offer intuitive navigation through tracks, volume adjustments, and even voice assistants. Touch control sensors are located just above the New Age brand name, they support tapping and swiping controls. The tap controls can be funny sometimes, for instance you want to increase the volume and tap once on the right bud and don’t wait for the beep before you tap again, it might think you want to pause/play music. So the best way we’ve found out is to swipe on the buds.
- Swipe L buds to decrease the volume
- Swipe R bud to increase the volume
- Double tap to pause/play
- Triple tap on L bud to go previous
- Triple tap on R bud to go next
- Press and hold the L bud for two seconds to summon voice assistance
- Press and hold the R bud for two seconds to activate the ANC
One thing to note again is that when you bring the buds out of their case and don’t pair them for 5 minutes, they are going to go to sleep. So to awaken them you need to press hold on but earbuds for 5 seconds. If you just want to wake the L bud, press hold for 5 seconds, and if it’s the R bud, you will need to do the same.
Verdict
As I mentioned earlier, the New Age Jazzy earbuds aren’t perfect, but they come with their advantages. It’s important to note that you won’t find any other earbuds with Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) at this price point. While the ANC might not be exceptional, it still manages to get the job done to some extent.
The earbuds offer a decent battery life and good touch controls. However, it’s worth mentioning that they aren’t the best option for gaming. It’s important to keep in mind that these earbuds aren’t designed specifically for gaming.
Now, the big question: Do I recommend these earbuds? Certainly, especially if you can’t afford the Oraimo Freepods Pro, which offers better ANC. In such a scenario, settling for the New Age Jazzy earbuds could be a reasonable choice.
