It comes in a nice-looking box, with the image of the L30 at the front and some specifications at the back. Opening the box, you are greeted with the L30 power bank and a long Type-C cable for recharging. It is advisable to recharge the power bank before you begin to use it.
Design And Build Up Quality
To the design, The New Age L30 features a simple and sleek design. It comes in a rectangular shape with nice edges. The LED flashlight by the side is an added feature that makes the power bank a multi-functional device. Its light intensity is excellent and good enough to light up an entire room. I love this because it can double as a flashlight and also as a power charger.
You have an orange silicone rubber handle at the other end for easy carriage. At the top, you have four ports, a dual USB output, a Type-C two ways port, and a single MicroUSB input port. You also have the power button also at the top and an LED display that only comes up when you power on the bank. The LED display helps to show you the battery level of the bank, so you know when to recharge it.
Coming with this weight, the power charger weighs 2kg which is a bit heavier than most power banks in the market. It’s a portable charger and suitable for travel but it isn’t one of the lightweights. The case is made from friendly durable plastic that is capable of withstanding impacts but I didn’t say you go drop it. Lastly, it comes with four-fold protection which means both you and your device is protected from overheating, short circuit, etc.
Battery Capacity And Performance
The New Age L30 power bank comes with a lithium battery of 33000mAh which is capable of charging whatever device you have for a week. Now I use an Infinix phone with a battery capacity of 5000mAh. The power bank was able to charge my phone 6 times and I also used it to charge earbuds, Bluetooth speakers, and more. I didn’t use it to charge an iPhone since I don’t have one but it should be able to charge an iPhone for more than five times.
One thing I notice is that though the battery capacity is huge, the charging speed is very slow. It took about an hour for me to get 30% on my phone, which is not good since we are in the era of fast charging. Recharging also takes a long. After day three of use, it was at 60% recharging back to 100% took about four hours, now imagine if you allow it to completely run out. The flashlight doesn’t consume much.
I turn on the flashlight for a whole night at 71% and in the morning it was still at 71%. I didn’t charge any device. The battery capacity is ok, just the charging speed that’s the issue. But if you look at the bright side most power banks with fast charging technology don’t have huge battery life. You can also use it to charge multiple devices at the same time which helps save you the stress of charging one after the other.
