New Age Fusion Bone Conduction
Spread the love

Today is all about the New Age Fusion Bone Conduction headphone. Scrolling through the New Age website last week and I came across this headpiece. The design and the features quickly caught my attention. So I decided to quickly bring the headphone to your notice, especially for those of you looking for budget-friendly headphones. The New Age Fusion Bone Conduction headphone has an open-ear design.

It features Bluetooth 5.3, a playtime of 9 hours, and a good quality sound as claimed by New Age. New Age never said anything about the bone conduction headphone having ENC or ANC. Just as we do here, we put everything to the test and give you our honest review. Before you go make a purchase I urge you to read this post to the very end.

How Much Does It Cost?

The New Age Fusion Bone Conduction headphone cost ₦19,800 as of the time of writing this post. You can also get it at other retail stores in the country. But you should know that at these stores it cost more.

Unboxing The New Age Fuse Bone Conduction

The headphone comes with a nice coloring with Don Jazzy at the front of the package. Opening the box, you are greeted with the New Age headphone, a Type-C charger and ear plugs in a small box and lastly the welcome guide. That is all you get in the box. Let’s go check out its buildup quality.

Design And Build Up Quality

The New Age Fusion Bone Conduction headphone has a premium and sleek design. By merely looking at it, you can tell it’s made of a combination of plastic and rubber materials. The headphone is lightweight, you won’t experience any irritation or itching when you are using it for a long period. The headband is not adjustable which means it can’t be adjusted to fit most heads. Another thing to note is that, unlike most open-air headphones like the Oraimo Open Circlet that can withstand twisting, it is good to point out that this cannot.

You have to handle it with care, so you wouldn’t damage it. The Fusion Bone Conduction headphone has an IPX4 rating, which means you can use it during workouts or in the gym. It has the ability to withstand sweat or small water splashes. However, it will be nice to keep them away from the rain or avoid using them for water spots. That amount of water can damage it.

The ear cups are a little bigger, they might not sit comfortably on some people’s cheekbones. It would have been nice if New Age made the ear cups a little smaller and straight so that they can sit comfortably on virtually all check bones. You’ll find the charging port, power button, and extra control button at the right. Also, the microphone is closer to the multifunctional button. I don’t like the fact that the power button also acts as the volume control button New Age please you can do better.

Sound Quality

The audio quality is moderate. It has a punchy bass and a nice treble. Despite it being an open ear headphone is amazing. We tried it on different music and I can tell you that the sound quality largely depends on the kind of music. Afrobeats and hip-hop songs give more punchy bass than pop and RnB songs. Indoors a moderate volume level is ok. But if you’re using it outdoors you will need to increase the volume a bit to clearly enjoy the sound. It’s that kind of headphone that is good for gyms, running, cycling, events, and much more. Since it’s not in your ear, you can be listening to music and also be aware of your surroundings.

Call Quality

The New Age Fusion Bone Conduction features a single microphone, it lacks ANC so you would be disturbed by the surrounding noise. You will need to go somewhere quiet to be able to have a good conversation with the other person on the phone. The absence of ANC makes rate the call quality 5/10.

Battery Capacity

The New Age headphone comes with a battery capacity of 500mAh which is capable of delivering a 9 hours playtime. During our test, we were able to get over 7 hours of playtime which is still good. But as you know the playtime largely depends on the volume level. It takes about 2 hours for the headphone to get fully recharged. It doesn’t feature fast charging and I think 2 hours recharge for 7 hours playtime is ok.

Connectivity

The headphone features Bluetooth 5.3 which makes connection between it and your phone or laptop very fast. The 15m connection range is one thing I love about this headpiece. Most headphones I know have only 10. It is not a good gaming headphone because you experience latency but it’s one of the best when it comes to video streaming.

Final Words

So there you have it, the Fusion Bone headphone design is superb, the sound is ok, and the battery life is decent. Our only complaint here is that the headphone lacks ANC features and the control buttons have crowded functions. It would have been nice if more buttons were made available and each button had its own function. Nevertheless, it’s still a decent headphone and when you consider its price you get the reason why it lacks some of these features. So what do you think about this New Age headphone, let us know in the comment section. And if you find this post informative do well to share it with friends and loved ones.
