Design, Look, And Build Quality

Straight out of the box, the HT2 exudes a sleek and feels nice on the hand. The headphone comes with a matte finish and is covered with high-quality polycarbonate materials. You get the TOZO brand name on both ear cups in a white accent which helps add more beauty to the headphones. The adjustable band features a refined brushed metal finish. This helps users ensure a customizable fit for themselves.  Though the headband looks great, there is room for improvement in the general build quality of the band.

The headband’s top section is thoughtfully cushioned for enhanced comfort during extended wear. The ear pads offer a comfortable fit. They provide ample space for my ears with no discomfort even after prolonged listening sessions. Moving on to the control button layout. The power and volume buttons are conveniently located behind the right ear cup. You also get the noise cancellation button in front. Positioned for easy access, you get to seamlessly operate the headphones due to their ergonomic placement.

Furthermore, you get an audio port alongside a USB Type-C charging port at the bottom of the right ear cup. The inclusion of the audio port offers flexibility for both wired and wireless usage. The HT2’s compact design makes it easy to move with. This is due to the ability to fold the headset inward for easy packing or flat storage when you’re on the go. Weighing in at 254.5g, it’s lightweight and portable without compromising on comfort or style. The TOZO HT2 headphones come in five vibrant color options: black, white, cream, blue, and pink. This gives buyers the option to select the color that best suits them. In general, the HT2 has a sleek design with a comfortable build.

TOZO HT2 Connectivity

The TOZO HT2 comes equipped with Bluetooth 5.3 technology. The HT2 offers a reliable wireless connection with an impressive range of up to 10 meters. You begin to experience audio distortion when you go beyond this range. To connect the headphones to your device for the first time, simply turn on the headphones and search for it on your device. Once its name appears on your device Bluetooth list, tap to connect and that’s all. Subsequent connections only take a few seconds.

One notable feature of the HT2 is its ability to connect to multiple devices simultaneously. However, there’s a slight delay of approximately two seconds as it identifies and switches to the most recently active device. When receiving an incoming call while enjoying music, the TOZO HT2 offers seamless integration.

The music continues playing, albeit at a lower volume, while the voice assistant alerts you to the call and provides the option to answer. Upon confirming the request with a command, the music pauses, allowing you to attend to the call. Once the call concludes, the track automatically resumes playback. This is one feature of the headphones that a lot of users will love. Not all headphones with multipoint connections do this.

ANC Feature And App

Moving on to its Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) feature, the HT2 employs sophisticated algorithms to identify and reduce incoming external noise. Although it is not up there with the more expensive ANC headphones, however, it effectively dampens ambient noise, albeit with some degree of transparency.

During our assessments, we found that the ANC performed best when paired with music at around 70% volume, effectively isolating the listener from intrusive environmental noise. However, without music playing, the ANC’s effectiveness was somewhat diminished. On a general assessment, I will put the ANC at an average.

Nevertheless, the HT2 truly shines when paired with the TOZO app. In addition to standard ANC features, the app offers four additional ANC-centered functionalities. This includes Transparency mode, Leisure mode, Adaptive mode, and the Wind noise reduction mode. Each of these modes helps adjust the ANC to work perfectly in any environment you find yourself in.

Furthermore, the app provides users with the ability to fine-tune the HT2’s equalization (EQ) settings. This allows for personalized adjustments to frequency levels for an optimized listening experience.

TOZO HT2 Audio Quality

Despite its affordable price point, the TOZO HT2 impresses with its remarkably well-balanced sound profile. Thanks to its 40mm Dynamic Driver Units, this headset delivers an immersive listening experience that spans across various music genres.

While the default sound profile offers a commendable performance, users seeking a more customized audio experience can leverage the EQ feature within the TOZO app. Additionally, the app offers pre-made EQ profiles tailored to different music genres, allowing users to experiment and find their preferred sound signature.

Notably, the HT2 places a strong emphasis on bass reproduction, which adds depth and richness to the overall audio output—a feature that many users will appreciate. However, it’s worth noting that the midrange and high-frequency performance, while satisfactory, may not offer the same level of clarity and detail as higher-end headphones. Overall, the TOZO HT2 strikes a commendable balance between affordability and audio quality, making it a compelling choice for budget-conscious consumers seeking a satisfying listening experience.

Battery Performance

The TOZO HT2 comes equipped with a robust 500mAh battery, providing ample power for extended listening sessions. With Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) turned off and at 50% volume, the headphones boast an impressive playback time of up to 60 hours. With ANC turned on, the headphones deliver up to 40 hours of continuous music playback on a single charge.

You can also use the 3.5mm aux cable to listen to music when the headphone runs out of power. However, you will experience a drop in sound quality and can’t use the ANC features with the wired connection. Recharging the headphones from zero back to 100 percent takes about 2 hours which is decent if you ask me.

Microphone Quality

Now, let’s delve into another crucial aspect of any headphone – its voice communication capabilities. With the TOZO HT2, initiating calls is effortless thanks to the multifunction button located on the right ear cup. This feature allows users to easily dial the last number dialed, providing utmost convenience.

In my assessment, the TOZO HT2’s three microphones deliver high-quality performance for essential tasks, including music playback and voice communication. The inclusion of ENC (Environmental Noise Cancellation) mode and sound transparency further enhances the device’s versatility, ensuring optimal performance in diverse scenarios.

Price And Availability

As of the time of writing this post, the HT2 is priced at $73 which is equivalent to NGN 92,757. The headphones are available on Aliexpress and Amazon. You can also get them in other retail stores in the country.

 Verdict

After thoroughly evaluating the design, sound quality, and features of the TOZO HT2 headphones, I can confidently say that they offer a compelling blend of advanced functionality and affordability. With features such as Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) and a budget-friendly price point, these headphones are an attractive option for users seeking a high-performance audio solution without breaking the bank.
