How To Use microSD Card On Mifi Devices
Insert The SD Card
The first thing to do is to insert your SD card into the Mifi. Please make sure to get a good SD card, a faulty SD card or an unknown SD card can corrupt your files. Inserting the card is easy, open the Mifi case, take out the battery, and insert the card at the appropriate SD card slot. When that is done, replace the battery and cover case.
Connect Phone To Mifi
The next thing to do is to pick the device you want to use to send files. I will be using a phone for this demonstration though. Ok, switch on the wifi of the phone and connect it to the Wi-Fi. Next, go to your Chrome browser, and enter the IP address of the Mifi. Once the Mifi page pops up, it is going to ask you for your password, insert the password and it will take you straight to the web user interface.
Upload Files From The Device To Mifi SD Card
On the homepage, search for an SD card and select it. A new page will pop up, on this page, you will get to transfer options, ‘HTTP Share’ and ‘USB’. If you want to use the USB route, you will need to get a USB cord and connect the cord to the Mifi and your laptop. However, in this process, we are using the ‘HTTP share’. Select the ‘HTTP’ option and tap on apply, for it to load for a few seconds. Once it is complete, you will get a ‘success’ message, then enable the HTTP settings.

After you select the enable button, you will notice a little drop-down menu that contains ‘custom’ or ‘entire SD card’. To access the card, select the entire SD card option. You will get a note that shows you how to access the SD, you can go through it. Once you are done select the ‘Apply’ button to confirm everything. Next is to select the HTTP share, this will take you to the HTTP share page.
On this page, you can upload whatever video, picture, or file you want to upload to the SD card. To upload, select ‘Browse’, this will take you to your phone file where you choose whatever you want to upload. Once you are done selecting, tap on upload to upload the file to the SD card. Please note, the larger the file the longer it will take to upload to the SD card. Once the upload is complete, you will see the file on the share page. This shows that the file is ready on the SD card.
Share Files To Other Devices
To share the file with another phone, you will need to connect the phone to the Mifi. You will need to follow the same process we use to connect the first phone. Once you connect the device you want to transfer files to, it will log out of the other device. Next, select HTTP share, it will take you to the HTTP page, here you will find the files in the Mifi’s SD card. To transfer files to the phone, go to the file and select download, it will ask you the file you want to download, select ‘Download’. This will download the file to your phone. The lighter the file the quicker the download. You can find the download files in the download folder of your phone. If you want to share using a USB cord just connect the cord to your device and transfer.
