Huawei recently unveiled several new tablets and wearables during a global launch event. One of the standouts is the Huawei Watch D2. The watch is the upgraded version of the very acclaimed Watch D and has integrated blood pressure monitoring. This is what Huawei’s latest model has to offer.
Huawei Watch D2 Features
Using a built-in micropump, the original Watch D was unique in that it could detect blood pressure directly. It also gave more precise readings than rival devices. Huawei believes that the Watch D2 improves on this achievement by having a more streamlined design and better accuracy. Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring (ABPM), which allows blood pressure tracking around the clock, is its most notable feature.
Unlike watches that rely on optical sensors, the Watch D2 has an inflatable wrist strap, akin to conventional blood pressure cuffs, enabling accurate blood pressure readings. The actual airbag in the cuff can inflate and take readings at predetermined intervals. This helps in tracking sleep metrics at night and sending intelligent reminders during the day. Users can also use it in standing, sitting, or semi-lying postures and take internal measures while sleeping.

The Medical Device Regulation (MDR) in Europe and the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) in China have approved the device’s blood-pressure monitoring capability.
In addition to measuring blood pressure, the Huawei TruSense system-powered Watch D2 also provides Beat-by-Beat ECG analysis, SpO2, heart rate, stress level, and skin temperature monitoring. Additionally, you may measure nine bodily markers with a single tap and see the results in a report known as a Health Overview.
Heart rate, blood pressure, tension, skin temperature, ECG, vascular elasticity, respiratory health, and sleep breathing awareness are among the nine signs. Additionally, the Health Overview feature of this Huawei wristwatch is the first to integrate blood pressure analysis.
A 1.82-inch AMOLED display with a 2.5D floating design is on the front. Additionally, GPS functionality is on for on-screen route viewing. The watch will come with a cream leather or black fluoroelastomer strap for a fashionable appearance. The watch will be available in black and gold.
Price And Availability
The Watch D2 launches in Europe at €399 (about $444), keeping the same pricing as its predecessor despite these upgrades. Consumers who buy the wearable between now and October 22nd will receive a complimentary pair of Huawei FreeBuds 5i.
