What’s In The Box
The Oraimo Open Circlet comes in the usual black and green Oraimo package. By the sides of the box, you get the features of the Bluetooth headphone and other important information. When you unbox the package, you find the following in the box;
- The Open Circlet
- The user manual
- And a short Type-C charger
That’s all we found in the box. I would have loved the Type-C charger to be a bit longer, but still, know the problems. Let’s go into the full review.
First Impression
The Open Circlet comes coated with a silicone material excluding the speaker grade that was made of plastics. This silicone makes the headphone flexible and can be folded. Mind you have to be careful when folding it so as not to damage it. With the Open Circlet being lightweight and foldable, you can fold it and put it in your pocket, backpack, or purse. Also, you get a Matte finish which provides an additional grip and makes the earbuds stay in place no matter how you move. The behind-the-neck band design of 16cm provides more comfort and makes the headphone fit better.
The Open eye design ensures there is no covering of the ear canals. This design prevents budding, jamming, or pains after a long period of use. Oraimo added Superior air the technology that help eliminates discomfort in bone and conductive drivers. Also, the open ear design allows free airflow into and out of the ear caps. This help reduces the pressure applied to ears and provides better hygiene.
The Oraimo Open Circlet features an IP55 waterproof rating that help protects the earbuds from water and sweat. This makes the Open Circlet a perfect earbud for rugged workouts. Lastly, the power button and two volume buttons are placed on the right earbuds. The charging port is also located at the right earbud. That’s all about the design and build-up quality.
Sound Quality
The Oraimo Open Circlet is powered by a 16mm large dynamic driver and advanced air conditioning. This help delivers high acoustic precision and an amazing stereo sound. It also delivers a nice punchy bass due to the Oraimo HavyBass algorithm that comes with it. This help boosts the bass and enables the woofer to be heard clearly on different volume level. During the test, we observe that the tunes come in a specific order. We tried it on different music genres and with all of this, we observed that the bass will be heard first follow by the vocals then lastly the treble.
If you don’t like the order, you can download a music equalizer app on your device to re-configure the arrangement. The Open ear design allows you to be aware of your surroundings for a safe and better listening experience. Even when you listen to music at the highest volume, you can still be aware of what is going on around you. This means you can use it on the street, in the gym, at home, etc, and still be aware of the happenings around you. With the Oraimo Open Circlet, higher volume is no problem. Bluetooth Connectivity
The Oraimo open Circlet comes with the latest Bluetooth 5.2. This gives a fast and seamless connection with your device. The headphone is compatible with both Android and iPhones and has a Bluetooth range of 10m. In an open field, you won’t experience a steady connection between the headphones and the device you connect them to. However, when there is an obstacle between the connected device and the headphone, you experience little distortion in connection.
Also, it has a low audio latency that helps deliver an enjoyable viewing and gaming experience. The Oraimo headphone also supports the Google Fast Pairing function that automatically fast pairs your device with the Open Circlet. With this, you can check the battery percentage of the Open Circlet on your device. Please note, your device must be Android 6.0 and above and supports the Google Play Service for this feature to work.
Oraimo Open Circlet Call Quality
The Open Circlet comes with 2 mics which you will find on the right side of the headphones. When you are using it for calls, it gives a crystal clear conversation between you and the person at the other end of the call. So you won’t experience any form of breakage or disturbance from the surroundings. This is possible because of the Environmental Noise Cancellation technology it comes with. The feature helps to reduce any form of environmental noise and also suppresses wind noise when working out outdoors. With this in place, you can actually make calls in a noisy environment and your caller will still hear your voice clearly.
Battery Capacity And Performance
According to Oraimo, the Open circlet comes with a battery capacity of 100mAh. And this can give you a playtime of 16 hours on a single charge at 70% volume. However, when we run the test at the same volume, we observed that it lasted 11 hours which is still good. It also features the 10 minutes quick charge, which means when you charge the headphone for 10 minutes you get a playtime of 3.5 hours.
To recharge the headphone takes an hour and a few minutes to be fully charged. However, this is possible when you use a 5V, 2A charger to charge it. But if you use the usual Oraimo charger of 5V, 1A, it will take a bit longer to be fully charged. As you can see it is one of the Oraimo headphones with longer battery life.
