After a recent worldwide release, Xiaomi has now introduced its low-cost earbuds, known as the Redmi Buds 6 Lite, in the Chinese market. The earphones cost 139 yuan ($20), and JD.com is currently accepting preorders. Let’s examine its main specifications.
Xiaomi Redmi Buds 6 Lite Specs
The Redmi Buds 6 Lite comes in three stylish colors—black, white, and blue—and has a comfy in-ear design. The 12.4mm titanium-coated dynamic drivers in the earbuds produce high-resolution sound with distinct highs and powerful bass.
Four preset EQ sound profiles and adjustable EQ settings are included, enabling a customized audio experience appropriate for a range of musical genres. Additionally, it supports the AAC codec, which improves the sound quality for devices that support it.

The earphones’ 42dB active noise cancellation (ANC) is a major improvement over earlier generations. It is perfect for outdoor sports like jogging or bicycling. This is because it has Xiaomi’s in-house dual-microphone AI wind noise reduction, which can withstand wind speeds up to 6 m/s. These earbuds’ ANC technology can block out sounds up to 2.5 kHz, making them perfect for commuting or in crowded urban environments.
With up to 7 hours of playback on a single charge and up to 36 hours with the charging case (Type-C), the Redmi Buds 6 Lite has impressive battery performance. Additionally, it has fast charging capabilities, allowing for two hours of listening time on a 10-minute charge.
For most users, the change is negligible even if the worldwide version offers a slightly longer 38-hour battery life. Two pairs of earbuds can connect to a single device thanks to the earbuds’ “audio sharing” compatibility with specific Xiaomi and Redmi devices. This feature works with premium phones.
Additionally, the earbuds are compatible with the Xiaomi Earbuds App. This allows users to customize their listening experience by modifying settings. Users can also determine battery life, and create unique EQ profiles. Firmware upgrades are also included in the app to maintain the earbuds’ peak performance.
