Design & Build Quality
The charging case has a new design and it’s not the open and close mechanism we saw on the previous model. It comes with a sliding form factor making it a little bit more comfortable to carry around. The earbud is stem style with a combination of black and white. There is white along the stem with a black dot for the touch controls. It comes with an anti-bacterial coating on the ear tip.

The earbuds fit comfortably in the ears and there are different sizes of ear tips in the box. It has an ergonomic design and it won’t hurt you even after long listening hours. The charging case has a white color accent inside with magnets that holds the buds firmly while charging. There is a matte black covering the outer part with minimal Oraimo branding. It charges through a USB C port at the back.
There is also a tiny LED light at the front that indicates when the buds are charging. The LED light at the front also indicates when the battery is low. You also get another LED light inside the charging case that indicates when you rest the buds inside the case for charging. The sliding mechanism is top notch and it can be addictive because of the sound it makes. It’s refreshing to get a new design from Oraimo, they also have an IPX5 splashproof and sweat protection. You can use them for workouts, but you can’t submerge them into water.

The earbuds have 10mm drivers that allow them to deliver great sound quality. If you like bass in your music then you will enjoy using the earbuds. They bring up all the instrumentals in a sound to life and it is enjoyable. It has an ergonomic design that prevents sounds from leaking while you are listening. You also get to enjoy the active noise cancellation it offers. The earbuds block ambient noises and will give you a silent listening experience.
It also has a transparency mode that keeps you aware of your surroundings while listening to music. If you love afro beats then the earbuds were tuned to deliver an exceptional listening experience. There are four tiny microphones around the buds for better calls and voiceovers. It also has noise reduction during calls. You can use them for calls even on a noisy street. As far as sound quality is concerned you will be impressed by what the buds will deliver.
Battery Life
The Oraimo FreePods 4 have incredible battery life. They also feature fast charging technology. If you charge them for 10 minutes you will get over 150 minutes of listening time. It takes around an hour to charge from zero to a hundred and it can last for up to 8 hours of playback. If you use them with ANC they might not reach up to 8 hours. You will get 35 hours of listening time when you combine the case and the buds while listening without ANC. The buds will last for 29 hours when your pair them with the charging case and listen with ANC. As far as battery life is concerned you shouldn’t worry. You will hardly use it for 8 hours consecutively for listening.
Connectivity & Touch Controls
The earbud uses Bluetooth 5.2 for connectivity and it can stay within 10 centimeters away from your phone. There is minimal latency between connecting and using the earbuds. It has a strong connection and there are no lags while listening to music or streaming. The earbuds have a dedicated gaming mode and it is more suitable for playing games. It also pairs quickly the moment your phone’s Bluetooth is powered on. The buds have touch controls and here is how to use them.

- Tap once to play or pause music
- You have to tap twice to skip to the next track
- Tap three times to go to the previous track
- You can tap and hold for 2 seconds to power on ambient mode or ANC
- The touch sensor can also be used to call on Google Assistant, Siri, and other Virtual assistants.

Oraimo Sound App Review & Other Features
The Oraimo Sound app makes using the earbud worthwhile. You need to download it and it is available on both the play store and app store. The app can be used to customize touch controls, maybe change replace skipping tracks with increasing and reducing volume. You can also use it to activate ANC or ambient mode. There is going to be a pop-up notification once you slide open the earbud on your phone. You also have the chance to set your sound the way you want it using the sound equalizer in the app.

The freepods 4 are budget friendly and they have a new design that I admire. It has ANC and outstanding bass. There is barely minimal to complain about and they are worth buying. The earbuds have transparency mode with outstanding battery life.
