Design And Build Up Quality

The Oraimo Riff 2 looks great both the earbuds and case. The Riff 2 charging case comes with a transparent lid, which means you can see the earbuds while the lid is closed. To me this is cool, it’s a welcome innovation and I believe a lot would love it. You have the Oraimo brand name at the front which is written in white. Beneath the case is the charging port, you have a green LED indicator that turns red when it’s low and a reset button, this is the button you use to reset the earbuds in case it starts acting out.

The case is made from high-quality plastic materials with a matte finish, the case is small and can easily slide into your pocket without any problems. Now let’s talk about the earbuds, they are also made from good quality plastic material. They are lightweight, sometimes I forgot I had something in my ears. The comfort level is high, so you won’t have any issues with this one.

Also, the earbuds have tiny glossy areas which are for the touch controls. Both the earbuds and the case are in Nebula blue, that’s the color you get for now. Let’s I forget, it has an IPX4 rating, meaning they have good resistance to dust and few water splashes. It’s not good earbuds for swimming and you should avoid the rain when you have the earbuds with you.

Oraimo Riff 2 Sound Quality

Let’s check out the sound. As you know one aspect you must consider before getting any earbuds is the sound quality. Will the Oraimo Riff 2 deliver? Let’s go find out. The Riff 2 audio quality is one of the best, it comes. equipped with a 12mm driver. Although it isn’t on the level of the more expensive earbuds you will hardly notice the difference. The mid-range volume is great and you won’t experience much distortion.

The bass level is good way beyond average. It losses some of its bass quality due to the half-in-ear design. So if you are one of those who love high-thumping bass earbuds with ear tips like the Oraimo Freepods 4 will be one of the best choices for you. However, for those who love balanced sound, these earbuds deliver. The fact that you can hear what’s happening around you makes it one of the best Oraimo earbuds for me.

This is one of the safe features of these earbuds, you get to be aware of what’s going on around you. And you can use it to listen to music on the street without getting knocked down by a vehicle. One thing I notice again is that the earbuds hardly fall off when using them except someone bumps into you.

Oraimo Riff 2 Call Quality

The Riff 2 earbuds come with a 4-mic Environmental Noise Cancellation (ENC) feature. This help to suppress any form of external noise when you are on a call. You enjoy a good conversation with the person at the other end of the call but it is not as good as the advanced ANC most earbuds come with. If you have the former earbuds that lack these noise cancelation features, the Riff 2 will be a good upgrade since its audio and video call quality are good. But those with ANC earbuds just stick with your earbuds.

Oraimo Riff 2 Battery Capacity

Coming to the battery department, the earbuds both have a battery capacity of 35mAh and it’s charging case boast of a battery capacity of 460mAh. On our test, the earbuds deliver six hours of playtime on a single charge at a volume of level of 70%. And the charging case was able to recharge the earbuds more than two times. It has a decent battery life and can save you for a whole day.

One thing I also like about the Riff 2 is the auto shutdown feature. If you bring out the earbuds and didn’t connect them or use them for the next two minutes, it’s going to auto shut itself saving the battery from running low. I love this feature because it can help preserve the battery life of the earbuds and make them last longer.

Bluetooth Connectivity And App Features

The Oraimo Riff 2 comes with the latest Bluetooth version 5.3, which ensures a fast and seamless connection to your device. You can connect the earbuds to your phones and laptops the way you normally connect Bluetooth devices to them. Similar to the Freepods 4, the Oraimo Riff 2 is also compatible with the Oraimo sound app. You can use the app to customize certain features of the earbuds.

Some of these include checking the battery percentage of the earbuds, turning on the game mode when you want to use them to play games, customizing touch controls, using equalizers to improve sound quality and many more. The app is available on both Google and Apple Store. To explore the Oraimo Riff 2 to the fullest you need to download the app on your phone.

Conclusion

I highly recommend the Oraimo Riff 2 to those in search of good quality budget-friendly earbuds. Though it lags when it comes to bass quality, it still boosts a good sound and nice design and when you look at the comfort it provides you know you’re getting a good piece.
