Also, the gimbal can serve as a selfie stick tripod, and it’s compatible with most phones.

In this review, I will be giving an honest review of the gimbal which ranges from the design to the performance to the battery life. This post will serve as a buying guide to anyone who wishes to get a new gimbal for themselves and why they should consider getting the Oraimo Smart Gimbal Stabilizer. If you’re ready let’s get to it. And You can Click Here To Get The Oraimo Smart Gimbal Now.

What’s In The Box

The Oraimo Smart Gimbal comes in the premium Oraimo package. You get the usual green and black pack color. By the side of the pack, you see the specifications and the features of the gimbal. Opening the box, you see:

  • A welcome guide
  • The Oraimo Smart Gimbal

Oraimo didn’t add a charger to the gimbal package which to me isn’t nice. You will need to get a charger to be able to recharge the gimbal when it runs low. Alright, let us go to the full review.

Design And Build Up Quality

The Oraimo Smart Gimbal has an average build-up quality. The gimbal is made from a durable plastic material that is comfortable to hold. It’s a lightweight gimbal with a total weight of 230g. The weight makes it easy for users to carry it about and have more comfort when using it. When it’s folded it has a total length of 20cm and when you open it to its normal length, you get a maximum height of 35cm. The small folding size makes the Oraimo gimbal a portable gimbal that can go with you anywhere you go. Because of its small size, you can easily pack it into your bag or pocket, it doesn’t take much space.

The gimbal comes with a tripod base that makes a firm grip on any surface you place it. At the top is the clamp which is a semi-automatic lock that holds phones in place even if the stabilizer is off. Mind you the clamp can hold phones with 7.2 inches of screen size. On the left side, you find a power button with a LED light indicator that shows a green light when it’s powered on and a red light when the stability is bad or when the battery is low.

On the right side is the micro USB charging port for recharging the gimbal. At the back of the gimbal, you get a nice quality motor that gives the gimbal to rotate in the 360 axes. You find the Bluetooth remote control at the top of the handle, you can easily slide out the remote control from the handle. And lastly, at the back, you get the Oraimo logo imprint that’s pretty much all we get during our observation. Let’s move.

How To Set Up The Oraimo Smart Gimbal

Setting up the gimbal is pretty easy. When you get the gimbal, just go through the manual to know how to set it up. Better still let me just give you a quick one on how to easily set up the gimbal for use. Clamp the phone you want to use for shooting on the clamp, power on the gimbal by pressing the power button for about 4 seconds, once you feel the vibration, release your hands for the gimbal to stabilize itself.

Next, you need to connect the Bluetooth remote to your smartphone. To do this, press hold the remote you will notice a green light blinking signaling to you that you need to pair it with your phone. When you successfully pair it the green light will be stable. You can now use the remote control to either record videos or take photographs.

Oraimo Smart Gimbal Performance

The Oraimo Smart Gimbal can also double as a selfie stick. You can use it to capture a group photo without leaving anyone out. This is because of its extensible aluminum alloy stick that has a maximum extension height of 60cm. The remote control makes it easy for you to capture the images. Switching modes is also simple. You can switch mode between landscape or portrait with just a click.

This makes it easy to shoot to change modes when shooting. During our test, it worked perfectly and we love the outcome. It also comes with a smart anti-shake function, this help to give your phone stability when shooting. So you won’t experience any form of shaking when shooting. Even if you are in a moving vehicle the anti-shake function gives you perfect coverage. The gimbal is perfect for travelers and vloggers who are just starting. The Oraimo Smart Gimbal will give you the perfect shot you need.

Battery Life

The gimbal comes with a battery capacity of 450mAh. Oraimo claims the gimbal gives you a running life of 4 hours. During our testing, we observed the gimbal lasted for 3 hours and 10 minutes which to me is ok for a budget gimbal. Most gimbals in this range can’t boast of better battery life. You can use the gimbal to shoot your videos before it dies down. To recharge you need a USB charger and it takes 3-4 hours for the gimbal to be fully charged.

Compatibility

The Oraimo Smart Gimbal is compatible with both Android and iPhones. Please note it works on Android phones 4.3 and above and iOS 5.0 and above. And as I earlier mentioned, the clamp also houses phones of 7.2 inches and below.

Oraimo Smart Gimbal Price

The gimbal currently cost 19,500 Naira at the Oraimo official store. If you wish to get one, you can get it at a discounted price. Want to know how? Click Here To Get It CHEAPER or Use The Discount Code: F85A5F3951ZP

Bottom Line

I recommend the gimbal for vloggers who are just starting and anyone in search of a budget-friendly gimbal. The gimbal is nice and flexible. The only downside I observed is the absence of the charger and I hope Oraimo improves some of its features. Let’s hear your take on this Oraimo gimbal in the comment section below.
