Today, we will be discussing the brand-new smartwatch from Oraimo smart accessories. It’s called the Oraimo Smart Watch ES. This smartwatch is now available in the Oraimo Kenyan store. But, it is still a surprise why it hasn’t landed in Nigeria yet as of the time of posting this video. So to Kenyans, this will serve as a buying guide. Design And Build Quality

As expected, this Oraimo Smart Watch ES consists of a 22m strap and a body. The smartwatch strap is made of a nice and comfortable silicon material that is skin-friendly. So, you won’t experience any form of difficulty like itching when you wear the watch for a long period.

The strap is long with lots of holes which you can use to get a comfortable fit for your wrist size – be it, Large or Small wrist. Still, on the strap, it comes with just a  single loop for excess straps. In my opinion, two loops would have been nice for those with smaller wrists like me. But still, it will get the job done.

The Oraimo Smart Watch ES has a nicely crafted rectangular body with one operating button on the right side.

When you flip the watch over, you have both the magnetic charging port and the health sensor at the back. The watch is lightweight as I mentioned earlier you won’t have any problem putting it on for a long period. In addition to that, the smartwatch comes equipped with a waterproof rating of IP68 which makes it resistant to both dust and water. Since it’s a fitness watch, you can wear it during your workouts in the gym and also use it in water sports.

Now, a word of caution here. You have to be careful as the watch can only last 30 minutes at a depth of 1.5 meters. In general, the Oraimo Smart Watch ES has a fashionable design and modern look.

The SmartWatch ES has an AMOLED screen inch of 1.78 and a resolution of 368* by 448. The AMOLED tech makes the colors pop out nicely without straining your eyes. This is good because you can see how radiant the colors on the screen are at a glance. Even under the bright sunlight, you will be able to see the watch screen clearly and read stats at a glance.

Fitness Mode And Health Features

The Oraimo watch comes equipped with 120 sports modes which include both indoor and outdoor activities. We don’t know how many modes will be allowed on the screen. However, one thing is sure when it comes to the Oraimo smartwatches, you are free to choose whatever sports modes you want at the Oraimo Health App. We suspect this watch will come with an Auto-detect mode too.

The Auto detect mode helps convert your long walking into exercise. So, you know every meter you covered is important and the watch will take note of it automatically. Now to the Health features. We can’t tell how many Health modes this will have since we haven’t run a review on it. But we hint you on the health features we saw on other countries store.

Some of the features include Heart rate monitoring, Blood Oxygen, sleep tracking, etc. The Oraimo Smart Watch ES has a 24 hours health monitoring, so we believe it will have more features than the ones we listed.

Oraimo Smart Watch ES Battery Life

The Oraimo Smart Watch ES features a Lithium polymer battery with a capacity of 240mAh. Oraimo claims that this smartwatch has a standby time of 7 days, but I believe this will be possible with minimal usage. If you are the type that loves your smartwatch screen to be always bright, the battery won’t take you for that long. And also, don’t forget the raise-to-wake feature, the 24-hour health monitoring feature, and so on. All of these will have their fair share of power consumption. So, have this in mind.

So, we can estimate that the battery should last you for about 2-3 days on heavy usage. You can recharge the watch by using the magnetic charger in the box. Recharging the Oraimo watch from empty to full should be at least 2 hours for a smartwatch of this battery capacity. I know it’s not that snappy but you won’t be recharging every day, you know.

Connectivity And Other Features

The watch comes with the latest Bluetooth version 5.3, which makes the connection between your phone and the watch super fast and stable. It also supports Bluetooth calls. So, you can pick up or make calls directly from the watch without you reaching for your phone.

Oraimo added this feature to the Oraimo Watch 2 Pro. The mic and speakers will be great just as that of the Oraimo Watch 2 Pro. With this, you are guaranteed to have a clear conversation with the other person at the other end of the call.

What we noticed in the Oraimo Watch 2 Pro is that it is not so good at making calls in a noisy environment with it. Hopefully, Oraimo has improved on that with this one new smartwatch ES. The watch also features GPS and real-time notifications on the watch. That means you will get notifications on the what as they drop on your phone.

You can also sync your contacts, and create your custom face screen using the Oraimo Health App. There are lots of features that come with this amazing smartwatch. Until we lay our hands on it, only then, we can confirm most of these features of the Oraimo Smartwatch ES.

Price

Currently, the Oraimo Watch ES is not available in the Oraimo Nigeria Store. But in other stores, it is sold for about KES7,600 in Kenya which is equivalent to $55. Converting to Naira, the watch should cost about 25,500 Naira. To me, it is still a budget-friendly smartwatch that anyone can get.
