Oraimo has shown over the years that it’s one of the go-to stores when it comes to smart accessories. The brand has done well to diversify its products which range from power banks, smart clippers and trimmers, chargers, keyboards, cables, earbuds, and even budget Bluetooth speakers. The brand has dominated Nigerian and African markets. Anyone to talk to about needing an accessory always recommend the Oraimo brand. Because their products are durable and tend to serve you more when compared to other brands in the market. In today’s post, we will discuss the Oraimo SoundView portable wireless speaker.
The SoundView is a portable and budget-friendly Bluetooth speaker. Though Oraimo has a lot of budget speakers in its store, this one caught our eyes because of its unique design and so we decided to go give it a try. The portable Bluetooth comes with all the features of a normal speaker, however, these speakers don’t come with a large display like this, so we suspected an upgrade. If you desire to get a new Bluetooth speaker and want something unique, read on as we list out all we observe from this Oraimo SoundView portable wireless speaker.
Unboxing
The Oraimo SoundView comes in the usual green and black Oraimo pack. The package is kind of small, so it already signifies the size of the speaker. By the side of the pack, you get to see the features of the SoundView. When we unseal the package, these are what we found in the pack;
- The SoundView speaker
- A short Type-C charging cable
- And the usual user manual
There is no charging adapter, however, this is no problem. You can use your smartphone adapter to charge the speaker.

Design And Build Up Quality
The Oraimo SoundView sports a unique design. The speaker is lightweight which makes it possible for you to carry about. This Oraimo speaker is suitable for the bedside because of its alarm features and the large clock display at the front. Oraimo made the speaker in a way that as you jam to music, you can also be cautious of the time. Let’s talk a little about the display. The clock is bright enough for you to see in daylight and at night, the illuminating display doesn’t over-illuminate your room, but is still visible to you.
The entire body is made of plastic and even the front display is made of plastic. From afar, you will think it’s made of glass because of its transparency, however, as you look closer, you can tell. At the top of the speaker, you get the control buttons. These buttons include the volume up and volume down buttons, which also double as a next and previous button. Then you see a circular button in the middle of the volume buttons.
This button serves as a play/pause button and when long pressed, it serves as power off/on. The other two buttons are the mode button for switching modes and a set button for adjusting the setting of the time. Besides it, is the Oraimo brand name. Coming to the right side, we found all the ports. At the back, the speaker is located in the middle with a meshed finish, we also see two large holes at the button. This speaker isn’t waterproof, which I think is the only downside we observed.
Oraimo SoundView Sound Quality
Coming to the sound section, considering that the SoundView is a multi-functional device that combines both sound and functionality, honestly, I wasn’t expecting much from the sound aspect, and when you also look at the other side that it’s also a budget speaker. However, Oraimo did well to give this speaker a maximum sound power output of 5W, which is moderately ok. And when you consider that the SoundView only comes with a single speaker.
So if you are the type that loves music with high sound, this one might not suit your taste. The bass quality is nice and ok, but not one of the best. And when it comes to clarity in sound, it’s close to perfection. Even at a high volume, you won’t notice any form f distortion in the sound. In addition, it features an in-built mic, which means you can use it to make calls.
Oraimo SoundView Bluetooth Connection And Other Features
The Oraimo SoundView speaker comes with various modes of connection. However, let us start with the Bluetooth connection. The SoundView comes with a Bluetooth version of 5.0 and a pairing range of 10m. This Bluetooth version makes a connection with your devices easy. The first connection might take a few minutes but when a connection is established, the consequent connection takes fewer seconds to be established. This speaker is compatible with all devices, which means you can pair the device with Androids, iPhones, tablets, etc.
There are other supports if you don’t want to use the Bluetooth feature. SoundView supports a USB connection, where you can plug in your USB device. It also supports SD card functions. So you have different ways of connecting to the speaker. In addition, you can also connect to an FM radio using the mode button to switch modes. The Oraimo SoundView only lacks the Aux connection. Mind you do not forget it’s a wireless speaker, so it doesn’t need one. I love the multi-connection feature of this speaker, this gives you the freedom to choose the kind of connection you want.
Battery Capacity And Running Life
The SoundView speaker features a battery capacity of 1200 mAh and gives a speaker output of 5W. On the Oraimo website and on the package, Oraimo says the speaker has a BT playtime of 2 hours at a single charge. However, on testing it lasted more than 2 hours, this is probably because we tested using a normal volume level. However, we didn’t test using the other connection methods, so I believe it should last longer with other modes.
Recharging the Bluetooth speaker takes roughly an hour and a half to be fully charged. There is an LED indicator light by the side of the Type-C charging port that help indicates if the speaker is fully charged or not. Just like other types of BT speakers, you can use the SoundView while charging it. This speaker doesn’t have any display that shows the remaining battery percentage, however, you can check this out in the Bluetooth section on your smartphone.
