Oraimo Watch ES 2 Review–Read Before You Buy

Oraimo recently released an upgrade of the Oraimo Watch ES and it is called the Oraimo Watch ES 2. The smartwatch is currently selling in Kenya but is not yet available at the Oraimo Nigeria store as of the time of writing this post. This comes with a larger screen size than its predecessor but still maintains the AMOLED display. In this post, I will be revealing all the details of this smartwatch and you can decide whether you should go one one or not. With that being said let’s delve into it.

Price And Availability

The Oraimo Watch ES 2 is currently available on the Oraimo E-shop in Kenya and you can get it at KES5,500.  The watch is currently not in the Nigerian store, however, as of the time of writing, the estimated price in Naira is 30,400. Oraimo Watch ES 2: Design

Starting up with the design, the Watch ES 2 comes in a simple and stylish design. It looks similar to the Apple Watch 9 with its square-shaped display with curved edges. The watch comes in a black variant which makes the watch elegant and beautiful. It’s a suitable smartwatch for both men and women.

The Oraimo Watch ES 2 is light and has a slim body which makes it comfortable to wear for a long period. You get the usual health sensor, and the magnetic charging port, you also the Oraimo brand logo and some basic certifications.

By the side of the watch, you are greeted with two buttons, a quick shortcut button and the home button with a crown with a green accent. Coming to the strap, Oraimo always makes sure to give what the consumers want. The strap is made of good silicone material that is ultra-soft and comfortable on the wrist for a long period of use.

On the strap you get the Oraimo brand logo, the strap is long enough to suit any kind of wrist size. The watch comes with a IP68 certification and it’s resistant to both dust and water splashes. Overall, the Watch ES 2 has a cool design.

Oraimo Watch ES 2: Display

One of the selling points of this watch is its AMOLED screen display. It comes with a larger screen size of 1.95 inches which provides a smooth operation and a saturated vivid colors. The increase in the screen size helps give a better display of texts and watch icons.

The impression brightness level makes it possible to view the watch screen under different lighting environments. The touchscreen is quick to respond so you won’t experience any form of lagging as in other watches.

When it comes to watch faces, you are the liberty to select any of the built-in watch faces or use the app to customize your personal watch face. The display of the Oraimo Watch ES 2 is quite impressive and stands among the best.

Software And Features

The connectivity experience is so smooth and impressive. Like the Watch ES, this also supports Bluetooth calling. The Bluetooth calling features make the connection between your phone and the watch stable. You can pick up calls and make calls directly from the watch. The built-in speaker is cool for making calls but in noisy environments, you experience some difficulties since this didn’t come with na noise cancellation feature.

You can save up to 100 contacts on the watch, this helps you keep the contacts of loved ones and business partners on your wrist. The Watch ES 2 comes with a San MS quick reply feature. This helps you quickly send a reply to the caller notifying them why can’t pick up their call at the time. When you are done, you can quickly call back the caller by using the contact history page on the watch.

I will say the overall calling experience is commendable. Additionally, the Oraimo Watch ES 2 keeps you informed on all notification from various apps which includes WhatsApp, emails, Instagram, and so on. If you want to receive a notification from any app, you will need to add it using the Oraimo health app. Furthermore, you can set up other daily useful personal assistants like alarm setting, stopwatches, music control, and many more.

Fitness And Health Features

The Oraimo Watch ES 2 offers about 100 sports modes that cover both indoor and outdoor activities, some of which include cycling, running, etc. It accurately monitors your every steps and keeps a record of your fitness status. You can check all of these records in the Oraimo health app.

You can also share your records with others on various social platforms if you wish to. In addition, the watch allows you to set fitness goals and also comes with reminders that keep you in remembrance of the goals you set. The health aspect helps monitor your heart rate, band blood oxygen saturation and also helps track your sleep.

It helps quickly detect health problems and notifies you. For females, the watch comes with period trackers. The data are not always perfect because of certain conditions like environmental factors but are still close to real-time data.

Oraimo Watch ES 2: Battery Life

Another impressive feature of the Oraimo Watch ES 2 is its battery life. On moderate usage, the watch can last for 5 days. On heavy usage you get three days while using it at a normal level, the watch gives you seven days on a single charge of 3 hours. It supports fast charging and a quick charge while you brush your teeth or take your bath in the morning can last you for 24 hours. This help eliminate any worries of constant charging.

Final Verdict

The Oraimo Watch ES 2 is a nice upgrade to the Watch ES. Its bigger screen size makes the display more beautiful and impressive, the battery life is decent and both the fitness and health features ok. If you already have the Oraimo Watch ES, I will advise you to stick to it no need to upgrade since it has features that separate the both.
